A historic weekend for Friendship Centre Movement in Saskatchewan
The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan is honoured to officially welcome Kineepik Friendship Centre and Beauval Indigenous Friendship Centre as the newest members of our provincial Friendship Centre family.
Their addition marks an important step forward in strengthening Indigenous-led services, supports, and cultural connections for urban Indigenous people and families across Saskatchewan. As our movement continues to grow, so too does our collective ability to respond to community needs, create opportunities, and foster belonging for all.
Friendship Centres have served as places of welcome, culture, advocacy, and community for generations. Today, we celebrate the leaders, volunteers, and community members in Pinehouse and Beauval whose vision, dedication, and commitment have brought these centres to life.
With the addition of Kineepik Friendship Centre and Beauval Indigenous Friendship Centre, our provincial network continues to expand its reach and impact, ensuring more Indigenous people have access to culturally grounded spaces where they can connect, heal, learn, and thrive.
Please join us in extending a warm Friendship Centre welcome to these two incredible communities as they begin this exciting new chapter within the movement.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we are building the future of the Friendship Centre Movement in Saskatchewan.
