This morning, the Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan (AFCS), had the privilege of attending the University of Saskatchewan’s Women of Influence Breakfast to support and celebrate our incredible teammate, Paige Crozon. As a keynote speaker at this prestigious event, Paige shared her journey, inspiring countless individuals with her dedication to sport, leadership, and community development.
Paige is not only the Manager of the Living Skies Indigenous Basketball League (LSIBL), where she plays a vital role in fostering Indigenous youth participation in basketball, but she is also an exceptional athlete herself. This past summer, she proudly represented Canada as a member of the Women’s 3×3 Basketball Team at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, a remarkable achievement that showcases her perseverance, skill, and commitment to excellence.
Her dedication extends far beyond the court. Through her leadership with the LSIBL, Paige is making a profound impact on young Indigenous athletes, providing opportunities for growth, mentorship, and community engagement.
We at AFCS are incredibly proud of Paige—not just for her accomplishments in basketball, but for the role model and leader she has become. Her presence at the Women of Influence Breakfast was a testament to her unwavering commitment to breaking barriers, inspiring future generations, and lifting up those around her.
Congratulations, Paige! Your hard work, dedication, and passion continue to inspire us all, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for you!
