AFCS is Partnering with the Saskatoon Public Library

AFCS is excited to partner with our local Round Prairie Library to share two sessions.

Tuesday, April 28 – Learn about Friendship Centres and the urban Indigenous context. Discussion topics include: what is a Friendship Centre, programs offered, who can access their services and the role of Friendship Centres in the community, how the urban Indigenous experience differs from the on-reserve experience, how Friendship Centres are playing a role in Reconciliation, and how we can work together to improve Indigenous and non-Indigenous relations.

Tuesday, May 12 – Information session on Cultural Humility Training. Cultural Humility Training is an educational experience in advancing Reconciliation through honouring Indigenous voices and improving cultural relationships. Focused on renewing relationships between Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, cultural humility training fosters culturally safe spaces.
