The Living Skies Indigenous Basketball League (LSIBL), alongside partners the Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan and One Love Basketball Inc., is proud to announce the generous support of Canadian Tire Jumpstart.
As Saskatchewan’s first-ever provincial-wide Indigenous basketball league, this initiative would not be possible without Jumpstart’s commitment to helping kids access sport and recreation.
Paige Crozon, Manager of the Living Skies Indigenous Basketball League, shared her gratitude, stating:
“The support of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities will have an incredible impact on the youth in Saskatchewan. We are grateful for their contributions to the program and are looking forward to providing opportunities to youth across the province.”
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities is committed to ensuring kids in need have equal access to sport and recreation. Since 2005, Jumpstart has disbursed more than $225 million to help over 3 million kids and counting. Jumpstart helps eligible families cover the costs of registration, transportation, and equipment, while also providing funding to organizations for recreational infrastructure and programming.
With Jumpstart’s support, LSIBL will continue to deliver a holistic development model that goes beyond the court through offering practice plans, cultural education, wellness workshops, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. Since its launch in 2020, LSIBL has created an inclusive space for athletes aged 8–17 to grow, compete, and connect while embracing Indigenous culture and values.
📊 LSIBL by the Numbers (2024–2025):
- 3,250 athletes to date
